Did You Hear What Joe Biden Just Called Hillary Clinton?

It’s no real surprise that Vice President Joe Biden is stumping for Hillary Clinton. What may be a bit surprising is his characterization of Clinton. Biden may have said more than he intended.

Noting that he’s known Hillary “for a long time” – from the time she was First Lady, Senator from New York, and our Secretary of State – a recent fund-raising email from Biden says of Clinton:

She is a force of nature. She’s tough, she’s brilliant, and she genuinely loves serving this country. Hillary is the kind of person who, at the end of the day, wants to help people and make their lives better. That’s who you want as your president.

Great. Joe Biden telling us who we want as our president. Like that’s not patronizing or anything.
Biden, of the “three letter word: JOBS” fame, also took a swipe at Donald Trump in the June 29 email. The Veep accused Trump of promoting the politics of “fear and intolerance” and “denigrating our allies.” Assuming, of course, we have any left following eight years of Obama.

Not to worry. Biden winds down this fund-raising pitch with, “There’s no one I trust more than Hillary to lead the fight against Trump, and I’m hoping you’ll come through for her and Democrats in your community again and again. She needs you. We all do.”
Using “trust” and “Hillary” in the same sentence seems… peculiar. Given Biden’s track record, however, we may forgive him the gaffe. (Hey, what’s one more?) Besides. Describing Clinton as a “force of nature” may have hit closer to the mark than Biden intended.

“A force of nature” may be defined as “one of the four fundamental forces that occur in nature and affect the structure of the universe, including gravitation, electromagnetism, strong force, and weak force.” Or “An event outside of human control for which no one can be held responsible.” Examples include weather, fog, thunder, and tornadoes. Decomposition, erosion, and tidal flow. Also natural disasters such as electromagnetic pulses, volcanic eruptions, and earthquakes.

In Hillary A Force of Nature Clinton’s case, we might add: “Lost” Rose Law Firm billing records. Disparaging women who accused Bill Clinton of harassment. Using a personal email account to conduct government business. Defending Obama’s Iran deal. Bad YouTube videos. So many more.

Come to think of it, “force of nature” seems an apt description of Hillary Clinton, serial liar and career kleptocrat.

Way to go, Joe.
