Doctors Are Forced to Use a Crowbar to Remove This From Man’s Body [GRAPHIC VIDEO]

What the doctors found in a man’s body is so incredible that they have filed paperwork with the people at the Guinness Book of World Records.  Maheshbhai Rasikbhai Patel, 49, was suffering excruciating pain in his abdomen and his doctors ordered exploratory surgery.  Once inside, the doctor found a formation on the patients bladder but didn’t immediately know what it was.  He was unable to remove it using normal methods and eventually had to use a device similar to a crowbar to break it loose and get it out.

It turned out to be a stone and not just any stone but one weighing an incredible 3.08 pounds and measured 4.5 inches by 6.7 inches.  There is some controversy over whether it is a world record or not.  It was larger than the previous record of 2.68 pounds but a woman had three fragments removed that weighed a combined 4.4 pounds.  The record will be decided on whether the woman’s three stones should be counted as one or three.

Spontaneous formation of stone inside the body is very common in India and worldwide. One of the main reasons of formation of stone in this patient could be high level of calcium in his urine and improper flow of urine. In 1997, the patient met with an accident in which he suffered injury in his urethra. This might also have helped in the formation of stone. We operated on the patient for one-and-a-half hours and successfully removed the stone.Urinary bladder stone is usually small in size ranging from 1 to 3cm, but this one was really huge.

Less than a week after having the giant stone removed, Maheshbha is reportedly recovering well in the hospital, and says he feels much better since the operation.
