Donald Trump Slams Michelle Obama On The Campaign Trail
Donald Trump Friday slammed President Barack Obama — and took his first jab at first lady Michelle Obama — for spending so much time campaigning for Hillary Clinton.
“We have a bunch of babies running our country,” Trump told a rally at the WNC Agricultural Center in Fletcher, N.C., near Asheville. “They are losers and they are babies, period.
“All he wants to do is campaign — and his wife, all she wants to do is campaign.
“I see how much his wife likes Hillary. But wasn’t she the one who originally started the statement ‘If you can’t take care of your home or White House or the country.’
“Where is that? I don’t hear that? She’s the one that started that,” the Republican added. “We can’t say that. It is too vicious.”
However, Obama used the line at a second campaign event that August, which discussed how she and her husband were adjusting to parenting during the campaign.
“So our view was that, if you can’t run your own house, you certainly can’t run the White House,” Michelle Obama said. “So, we’ve adjusted our schedules to make sure that our girls are first, so while he’s traveling around, I do day trips.”
