Was not expecting this sort of response from the Duggar sisters…
Duggar sisters Jill Dillard and Jessa Seewald have previously confirmed their brother Josh molested them when they were younger. Following the revelation, TLC cancelled the hit show “19 Kids and Counting.”
Also, in what many presume to be the network’s response to the scandal, Jill and Jessa took part in a TLC television special that addressed child sexual abuse. Their mom, Michelle, also took part in the “Breaking the Silence” special.
The women were part of a larger group that included other molestation survivors and community members who wanted to know more about the issue. All were specially invited to take part in the event, reports Yahoo! TV.
Jessa stated:
“I feel like this should be a discussion people are having, even regularly. I think that it shouldn’t be a taboo subject. We should bring awareness to child sexual abuse and talking about this.”
During the presentation they attended, the Duggars and other participants were shown a 5-Step action plan to help keep children safe:
