The Election results last night reveal the true depth of how far the out of touch progressive left has fallen in the eyes of the American People. Democrat Evan Bayh, who was looking to reclaim his Indiana Senate seat in a race Democrats had been counting on him to win, has been soundly defeated by Republican Representative Todd Young.
With 76 percent of the votes counted, Young had a commanding lead with 52 percent of the vote, to just 40 percent for Bayh. The lopsided victory is a surprise considering Bayh’s deep roots with the state and its voters. In addition to being a former two-term senator and former two-term governor, his father Birch Bayh, also was a senator for the state.

Democrats were hoping Bayh’s candidacy would be the perfect scenario to steal the previously open Republican Senate seat as they strive to gain control of the chamber.
If Hillary Clinton were to win the presidential election, and as we know now hasn’t, the Democrats would would have needed four seats to gain control of the Senate. Her Vice President, Sen. Tim Kaine, would be the tie-breaking vote. That has all gone up in smoke as the house cleaning in Washington continues.
