Richard Keenan admitted himself into a psychiatric facility after he admitted his crime because he said he was feeling suicidal. One question, we are waiting? Rule number 1, when caught is to claim mental illness, and then move on as best as possible to finding Jesus at the end. This man has no excuse for his crime and there should be no plea bargaining in any way.
Richard Keenan, former Hubbard mayor from 2010 to 2011, was indicted on eight counts of rape and 12 counts of attempted rape and gross sexual imposition.Keenan was booked into the Trumbull County Jail and released on $75,000 bond.According to court documents, the victim told Keenan’s wife about the sexual abuse that began when she was 4-years-old and lasted for three years.When Keenan’s wife confronted him about the allegations, he responded, “I did it.”
Why was Keenan given bond? Are our children our most precious commodity? Do they need our protection at all times? To even receive a bond hearing is absurd. The man should have been remanded and tossed to the wolves in prison. What do you think?
