Facebook Admits To Removing Promotions For Anti-Quarantine Protests Against Tyrannical Governors

Facebook is admitting to taking action to prevent Americans from organizing to anti-quarantine protests in certain states on their platform.

This morning, CNN’sDonie O’Sullivan announced on Twitter that Facebook is removing the promotion of anti-quarantine events in CA, NJ, and Nebraska after consultation with state governments.

The CNN reporter shared an incredible statement from Facebook, who said they are working to get answers from NY, WI, OH, and PA about whether or not anti-quarantine protesters are breaking the state’s social distancing measures.

O’Sullivan used a Washington Post article with a photo that grossly misrepresented the protest in Michigan by showing a few armed citizens with a person holding a “HEIL WHITMER” sign on the steps of the Capitol building in Lansing, MI, to symbolize anti-quarantine protest that have “popped up all over Facebook.” The Washington Post chose to use this photo of a fringe militia group, to deceive their readers about the real protest organized by the Michigan Conservative Coalition, which included over 10,000 vehicles with protesters who stayed inside their vehicles.

CNN’s Oliver Darcy also tweeted about Facebook’s actions to clamp down on citizens using their social media platform:

Anti-quarantine protests being organized through Facebook in California, New Jersey, and Nebraska, are being removed from the platform on the instruction of governments in those three states because it violates stay-at-home orders, Facebook spokesperson @andymstone tells @donie.

Trump supporter “Melissa A” responded to Oliver Darcy’s tweet calling Facebook teaming up to police users from violating the constitutional rights of Americans to peaceably assemble, “the pure definition of Fascism.” She added, “I hope America wakes up & realizes that all our freedoms are being taken in the name of keeping us “safe.”
