If you’ve ever noticed the NSA or GCHQ liking and then very quickly unliking your posts, there’s a good chance the state is spying on you. The digital faux pas has fast become a mainstay of modern-day clumsiness. (If you know the pain of having accidentally posted the name of the person you were trying to Facebook stalk as a status, you’ll know what I mean.) But fear not – help is at hand. Mark Zuckerberg’s team have announced that they will let individuals know if they think they are being spied on by “state-sponsored actors”. This special alert will appear to let you know that Facebook suspects you’re under attack from a government-backed hacker.
