Football Player Takes Knee During Anthem, Receives EPIC Dose Of Karma Two Days Later

In the “never bite the hand that feeds you” department, Antonio Cromartie, an American football player for the Indianapolis Colts was released from his team.

In case you missed it, Cromartie had a terrible game this past week and was benched for his performance. Grant you Cromartie is 32-years-old, and his talents have diminished, but one can only wonder if taking a knee for the national anthem with a raised clenched fist had anything to do with it.

According to Breitbart:

Indianapolis Colts cornerback Antonio Cromartie took a knee for the national anthem on Sunday. On Tuesday, the Colts released the veteran pass defender.

Cromartie crouched down on a knee and raised a black-power fist for the playing of “The Star Spangled Banner” in London. Then he rose to his feet for “God Save the Queen.”

But his play during the game, rather than his antics before it, likely led to his release.

I wonder how he will pay for all his kids now?

Cromartie signed a $3 million deal with the Colts prior to the season. He needed the money. Fathering a dozen children by eight different women, with twins arriving last year after a vasectomy, the prolific 32-year-old reportedly owes $336,000 annually in child support. He reportedly averted baby-mama drama, and the consequences of a Florida non-support warrant in the offseason, by signing with the Colts.

Cromartie surely has personel problems, and they are not going away soon, but one would think not to bring ill advised attention to yourself when you need the income. Especially with a topic of  disrespect for the National Anthem is in the spotlight combining that with his poor performance, this was an insane move.

Now he is out of a job, and most likely will be hard to secure a new one. I hope he has a good savings account or a degree so he can get a job soon.

What do you think?
