You have to wonder if Donald Trump is the reason that Ford decided to make the shift and save the jobs of 1,000 American auto workers.  During the campaign trump pointed to companies sending American jobs to Mexico and promising retribution to any company that tries it in a Trump administration.  In any case at least 1,000 residents of Michigan have received a dividend for voting for Trump.

CNN Money reported:

Ford shifts truck production from Mexico to Ohio

Ford’s heavy duty pickup trucks which used to be built in Mexico started rolling off an assembly line in Ohio this week.

That’s good news for the 1,000 Ford workers in Ohio, who might have otherwise been out of work.

It’s also good publicity for Ford (F), which has been under fire for investing so much in Mexico. In April, the automaker said it would invest $2.5 billion in transmission plants in the Mexican states of Chihuahua and Guanajuato, creating about 3,800 jobs there.

Ford’s south-of-the-border strategy has drawn heavy criticism from groups such as the United Auto Workers union and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.

The Avon Lake, Ohio, plant produced its first batch of Ford’s full-size F-650 and F-750 pick up trucks on Wednesday.

We need to do something about companies abandoning Americans for greener pastures outside the country.  The Trump agenda is the perfect panacea for what forces companies out of the country.  Obamacare, regulations and demands of a large increase in the minimum wage which puts pressure on the higher paying jobs.  That may stop the future bleeding of jobs but an answer is still needed to bring jobs back.  Let’s hope the liberals don’t try to obstruct the nec essary legislation.  They’ve already proven they think the American working man is deplorable.
