As Marine Le Pen surges into what appears to be certain victory, a large contingent of left wingers in France are plastering the streets with campaign signs to make Barack Obama the new president of France.  Of course, Obama isn’t qualified to be the president of France because, well, he’s not French.

But let me remind you, he wasn’t qualified to win the Nobel Peace Prize either.  He certainly wasn’t qualified to be president of the United States but he was.  He didn’t deserve reelection but he was.

Marine Le Pen is made in the mold of Donald Trump, although she is much more right wing.  She has made it quite clear that she will put an end to the endless stream of illegals and refugees into the country and the French people have responded in kind.  Geert Wilder in the Netherlands is expected to also chalk up an easy victory.

There has been no word from the Obama camp on whether Obama is interested or even whether his printer can forge a French birth certificate in time for the election.

The website also says Obama could be an antidote to the popularity of right-wing parties in the country.

“At a time when France is about to vote massively for the extreme right, we can still give a lesson of democracy to the planet by electing a French president, a foreigner,” reads the website in French.

A spokesperson for the group told ABC News Thursday morning, “We started dreaming about this idea two months before the end of Obama’s presidency. We dreamed about this possibility to vote for someone we really admire, someone who could lead us to project ourselves in a bright future. Then we thought, whether it’s possible or not, whether or not he is French, we have to do this for real, to give French people hope … Vive la Republique. Vive Obama. Vive la France and the USA.”
