Pink Pistols, a gay group that encourages gays to carry a gun for their protection have taken the occasion of the Orlando club shooting to once again make their point that police cannot be everywhere at every time, and the need might arise for members to protect themselves, especially as Obama brings in millions of homophobic Muslims into the country. A good guy or girl with a gun inside the club might have saved a lot of lives. It certainly would not have made it worse. It may have become even more important to carry after Obama, Hillary and many other liberals refused to acknowledge the attack was the result of radical Islamism.
:Liberals have concentrated on gun control after the shooting, despite the fact that all the measures offered up by both Clinton and Obama would not have stopped this attack. A better way to go would be to repeal all gun free zones. Criminals will not let the law stop them from carrying in those zones and arming law abiding citizens will make those criminals think twice before attacking there.
Pink Pistols speaker Gwendolyn Patton said in a statement:
Let us not reach for the low-hanging fruit of blaming the killer’s guns. Let us stay focused on the fact that someone hated gay people so much they were ready to kill or injure so many. A human being did this. The human being’s tools are unimportant when compared to the bleakness of that person’s soul.
“GUNS did not do this. A human being did this, a dead human being. Our job now is not to demonize the man’s tools, but to condemn his acts and work to prevent such acts in the future.”
Many states have prohibitions on carrying a gun while drinking at a bar, but Patton suggests that one member of any group going to a bar, be a designated shooter, much like a designated driver.
Everyone should have the means of protecting their lives.
