When you look at the situation, it comes down to economics. If a McDonald’s employee works full time, he or she would make $31, 200 a year. Two shifts a day brings the cost to $62,400 a year. How much do you think it costs to buy one robot to replace those two employees? $35,000. Not only that but those two employees only cover 10 of the 14 shifts needed every week. The robot doesn’t get sick pay, vacation, medical or any other fringe benefit outside an occasional extra squirt of oil now and then.
Ed Rensi, a former CEO for McDonald’s, pointed out the truth that liberals refuse to acknowledge. Companies aren’t willing to lose money and possibly their businesses in order to pay low skill workers fifteen dollars an hour. McDonald’s is having major problems just staying alive and a boost in pay to fifteen dollars an hour could mean death. Wendy’s and Pizza Hut has already announced that they are replacing order takers with robots this year. More will follow suit as time goes on.

The bottom line is that the “Fight for Fifteen” is a scam. Just follow the money. Who has spent untold millions supporting “Fight for Fifteen”? The unions, mostly the SEIU. They fight for fifteen dollars an hour and when a city or state passes the new minimum wage, what is the first thing the unions do? They move to get union shops exempted from the law.
LA unions call for exemption from $15 minimum wage they fought for
Why would they do that? It is no secret that the number of people in private unions has been falling for many years and the unions need more people to pay more dues that allows them to buy more democrats. Now, let’s say you own a company with 50 low skill workers. Your city or state passes a 15 dollar an hour. The next day, a union rep shows up at your office and shows you how you can avoid paying fifteen dollars by unionizing your shop. What do you do?
Once again, “We the People” becomes pawns for the liberal elite’s quest for power.
