After Obama has demanded that certain states take down their confederate flags, the governor of Mississippi has declared April confederate heritage month in direct objection to the presidents agenda.

Gov. Phil Bryant of Mississippi signed an official governor’s proclamation this week that blatantly defies a major Obama agenda.
According to The Political Insider, Bryant has officially dubbed the month of April “Confederate Heritage Month!” In a statement on the Sons of Confederate Veterans website, Bryant wrote, “the month in which the Confederate States began and ended a four-year struggle.”
This comes after months of heated debate about the Confederate Flag as Obama called on states like South Carolina to take it down from their state capitals. Governor Bryant, however, doesn’t give a hoot what Obama and his minions think!
Bryant’s proclamation begins by saying that April is the best month to honor the confederacy because it “is the month in which the Confederate States began and ended a four-year struggle.” It goes on to say that the state will celebrate Confederate Memorial Day on April 25 to “recognize those who served in the Confederacy.”
The proclamation continues by saying it’s “important for all Americans to reflect upon our nation’s past” and “to gain insight from our mistakes and successes,” adding that we must “earnestly strive to understand and appreciate our heritage and our opportunities which lie before us.”
The governor is simply standing up for our freedom of expression and honoring the southern states. If Obama won’t let us do this then we will just have to do it anyway.
