Another aspect of daily life has been compromised by the socialist agenda.
Nowadays, it’s practically hard to watch a movie, attend a sporting event or another event of culture, or even just go to school without coming across someone who is woke. The wokeness is now spreading to grocery stores.
Yes, I do. It turns out that a network of grocery stores in Washington state has subtly included something progressive into the shopping process.
According to Fox News, customers using the self-checkout at Haggen, a grocery store chain owned by produce giant Albertson’s, are presented with a prompt on the card reader that asks “Would you like to donate to help advocate for DEI awareness?” and gives them the option to donate $1, $3, $5 or another amount.
In case you were not aware “DEI” stands for “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion,” the three-word mantra of the modern progressive religion.
Another sign promoting the Haggen Foundation, the supermarket store’s own charity, can be seen behind the kiosk in the prompt on the card reader.
According to Fox News, the Haggen Foundation does support a number of legitimate charities, including organizations that assist cancer patients and those with disabilities, but it also supports a number of controversial activities.
Such woke initiatives include the Northwest Justice Project, which seeks to challenge “structural and racial inequities to promote the long-term well-being of low-income individuals, families and communities across Washington State.”
Additionally, it has been stated that the Haggen Foundation supports Empower Next Generations and the Northwest Immigrants Rights Project, two groups that frequently discuss the need to end “systemic oppression” and promote inclusiveness and diversity.
The “DEI initiatives” indicated in the prompt are certain to follow a similar operating philosophy. Simply asking clients to donate to woke causes is all that this is.
The issue is that it is simple to imagine how someone could give money to these causes based on this prompt without realizing what they are doing.
We visit the grocery store so frequently, and the majority of us undoubtedly utilize the self-checkout, that we simply go through the motions without giving it any thought.
If you frequently make donations to charities that the card reader prompts you to, you can just automatically click the “donate” button without giving the organization’s name a second thought.
Because of this, choosing which charities to donate to requires caution.
Given that these programs are being utilized to forward a communist agenda, you probably do not want to donate to them if you are a patriotic American who adheres to traditional conservative ideals.
Although there is only one grocery shop in Washington, it is owned by a national chain, so it’s extremely likely that identical prompts are surfacing across the country.
The next time you go in the grocery store, be on the lookout for this prompt and others like it.
