A Western Global Airlines flight made an unexpected stop in Harare mid-flight from Munich, Germany, to Durban, South Africa.
Western Global had been hired by the South African Government to fly a special cargo for them — millions upon millions of rand, the nation’s currency. But when they stopped to inspect the plane, they discovered a dead body “hanging” inside the plane, according to the U.K. Daily Mail. When walking down the runway to the plane, they saw blood “dripping” down the runway out of the plane. They initially thought it came from a bird hit during the flight, which it very much did not.
It fell to the American captain to follow through on the perceived blood, at which point he donned a pair of latex gloves and opened a hatch. The body came tumbling out. The man had burns on his head. Western Global believed the man to be a stowaway who boarded the craft before a previous flight. Nigeria and Uganda were both recently visited by the craft.
