Things sure are a lot different than in your grand parent’s generation. And we’ve pretty much accepted the sexualization of the culture, good or bad, but maybe this is a bit too far. At what age is it appropriate for 11 year olds, in 6th grade, to learn about anal sex, masturbation, condoms?

Awesomeimageparty published some photos of a Lincoln, Nebraska sex ed class that had parents, there, more than a little angry about the explicit and X rated demonstration to which their children were exposed.

And if you think you’re safe because this isn’t happening at your children’s school, guess again. In St. Charles, MO, in the Francis Howell school district, parents are fighting the very same issues with the very same book.

KSDK reports: A controversial sex education book is available to middle school students in the Francis Howell School District.

Some parents are outraged over the cartoon drawings of naked people and others involved in sexual acts. It’s available at the middle school libraries. And although it show that it’s meant for kids 10 years and up, it’s still making some parents uncomfortable.

“Most of the time, when I showed this to parents, their jaws just hit the floor,” parent Tim Schmidt said. “They were shocked and then their next reaction was outrage.”
