Experts are in fear of an all out war in the Ukraine after Putin places 40,000 troops and armored vehicles on the border of the Ukraine.  The Pentagon has been able to identify 8 staging areas the Russians are using to place their troops in case of an invasion attempt.  It should come as no surprise that Russia is doing this.  The United States is leaderless and they have nothing to lose because no other country has the means to stop them, should they decide to attack.

Navy Captain Danny Hernandez, speaking to the Washington Free Beacon said:

“We are extremely concerned about the increasing tensions near the administrative boundary between Crimea and the rest of Ukraine.

“We urge both sides to avoid provocative steps or rhetoric that could escalate the situation.”

From The Sun:

Officials told the publication similar movements were seen before Vladimir Putin carried out his deceptive annexation of the Crimea.

Such manoeuvres have reduced the “warning time” available to the US if he decides to launch another attack.

In June it was reported Russia was constructing an army base near the border which it considers to be a new front line with NATO.

A Reuters reporter who visited the Russian town of Klintsy, about 30 miles from Ukraine, saw a makeshift army camp, large numbers of newly-arrived servicemen and military vehicles.

The Russians have been on maneuvers on the Western flank even as NATO troops are carrying out maneuvers on the Eastern flank.  Reporters tried to make their way in to observe the Russian troops but were met by two guards who refused them access.  tensions are running high as military observers try to decide if Russia is just putting pressure on NATO or intend to attack.
