Julian Assange Orders Wikileaks Info Dump On CIA Hacking
Wikileaks has come under attack by CIA hackers, so Julian Assange has given the orders to open the encryption for “Vault 7 Part 1 “Year Zero”: Inside the CIA’s global hacking force.”
With it came the instructions to spread it far and wide. What would you pay to be a fly on the wall in the war room at Quantico this morning? The release comes after what Assange calls an attack by CIA hackers, possibly looking for what Wikileaks has on them.
A few minutes later, WikiLeaks tweeted the decryption passphrase for the CIA data dump which reads, “SplinterItIntoAThousandPiecesAndScatterItIntoTheWinds”,
Haaretz, an Israeli newspaper reports:
WikiLeaks on Tuesday published thousands of documents purportedly taken from the Central Intelligence Agency’s Center for Cyber Intelligence, a dramatic release that appears to provide an eye-opening look at the intimate details of America’s cyber-espionage toolkit.
The dump could not immediately be authenticated by The Associated Press and the CIA declined comment, but WikiLeaks has a long track record of releasing top secret government documents. Experts who’ve started to sift through the material said it appeared legitimate – and that the release was almost certain to shake the CIA.
According to WikiLeaks, the dump “introduces the scope and direction of the CIA’s global covert hacking program, its malware arsenal and dozens of ‘zero day’ weaponized exploits against a wide range of U.S. and European company products, include Apple’s iPhone, Google’s Android and Microsoft’s Windows and even Samsung TVs, which are turned into covert microphones.”
This could be serious for the CIA, especially if it reveals the CIA hacking into accounts of our allies. It could also reveal possible hacking of Donald Trump.
