Leaked Email Reveals Racism and Homophobia at the DNC

The leaked emails from the DNC are entertaining as well as informative.  It seems that the party of tolerance is pretty intolerant when they think no one is watching.  For instance, Rebecca Christopher sent out the following email:

Hi everyone,

VIDEO: LATINO GROUPS ARE PROTESTING DONALD TRUMP’S SNL APPEARANCE

Attached is a script for a new video we’d like to use to mop up some more taco bowl engagement, and demonstrate the Trump actually isn’t trying.

Let me know if you have any flags and thank you!

Hey Latinos, how do you like being called Taco Bowl Outreach?

From The Daily Caller:

“I’m encouraging a phone call next week,” Smith wrote in May, 2016. “There has been some shift in leadership and I’d like for us to be aligned on next steps. After seeing a few emails, I’m not sure that we are all on the same page. I’m going to have LaQueenia send out some options for next week. Hopefully we can all get on the phone and reenergize this event.”

Zachary Allen with the firm TIPAH Consulting, who works for the DNC wrote replied to Scott Comer, the finance chief of staff and LGBT finance director for the Democratic National Committee (DNC)

Comer: “Just kill me now.”

Allen:  “LaQueenia is a NAME!  I’m sorry, boo. I hope you got a raise with this title.”

Then there’s the old standby homophobia:

From The DC Caller:

Multiple DNC employees engaged in email exchanges in what many might perceive as derogatory comments about the demographic.

“Are we back to the point I can say I love you? Because I’d like to. No more cash bar at the wedding!” DNC Finance Chair Zachary Allen wrote to National Finance Director Jordan Kaplan in a May 20 email.

Kaplan then responded, “I love you too. No homo. Phew.”

In another email sent by Kaplan, this time with DNC finance Chief of Staff Scott Comer, he speculated on political operative Doug Hathaway’s sexual orientation.

“Doug Hathaway is definitely gay. He swims for the gay and lesbian team in DC,” he wrote to Allen.

“Totes. He gives me daddy vibes.” Comer wrote back.

In another email, a staffer calls a gay supporter “High Maintenance”  which is a code word for a pushy homo.

The leaked memo, which is titled “Close out memo” and dated April 22, 2016, was authored by DNC staffer Julia Lahl, who recaps much of the work done with the party’s LGBT Leadership Council. The memo contains information on dozens of donors — not all of which is positive.

Lahl complains that one donor, named as Darrin Glymph, is “extremely high maintenance.” Glymph was one of three hosts for a May 2015 fundraiser in Washington, D.C. that was “wildly successful” “in terms of identifying black gay men that are interested in getting involved. However the [three] hosts that filled the room incredibly for this event were extremely hard to wrangle for the actual gala,” Lahl wrote.

“Darrin would like to become more involved but he is hard to get in touch with and is extremely high maintenance,” Lahl went on to complain. “I found him to be too much work for what he is worth (maybe a 5k check).”

I’m guessing he would be more tolerable for $25,000.  So much for tolerance.
