A leftist lawyer, who wishes to remain anonymous has spoken about Donald Trump’s threatened lawsuit against his accusers for libel and slander.  He correctly points out that should Donald Trump try to sue the propaganda sites like the New York Times and the Washington Post or even legitimate news agencies, the judge, no matter who he is would throw the case out of court.  The rules governing libel and slander against newspapers and rags like the NYT is high.  There are three tests

1 Is it untrue?  Undoubtedly

2 Did it cause damage? Yes

3 Was it knowingly false?  In the old days when we had real reporters, they would double check the facts and would know if the accusations were false or not.  Today, if the story fits the liberal ideology, it is never checked.

So, I agree with the lefty lawyer (LL).

However, the ll also mentioned the possibility of Trump suing the women.  That is a new whole different matter.  Tests 1 and 2 are givens.  But rule three is problematic for them.  Trump does not have to prove they lied, the women must prove they are telling the truth and since not one of them had any proof of any kind and almost all of them can be proven to be attempting to prevent from becoming president, they will be between a rock and a hard place.

In such suits the awards depends on actual damages and can include punitive damages.  That means if Trump loses the election the damages could be extremely high, especially if the court takes in account that Trump spent over 100 million on the election.  He could effectively bankrupt every one of them, including both porn stars.
