Democratic Missouri Congressman Lacy Clay is the one responsible for the painting. The painting is now hanging in the corridor between Capitol building and Longworth House Office Building. Here is how this moron describes the painting:
“A colorful landscape of symbolic characters.”
“The painting portrays a colorful landscape of symbolic characters representing social injustice, the tragic events in Ferguson and the lingering elements of inequality in modern American society.”
The painting:
The Congresswoman who posted the picture:
Washington GOP Rep. Dave Reichert, a former police officer remarked:
“Unfortunately, many people of influence have taken part in promoting offensive and inaccurate caricatures of the very people who do the most to protect our families.”
“While I understand in some neighborhoods trust between police and communities has all but deteriorated, we must work on rebuilding these relationships and focus on our shared goals of peace and civility.”
From The Daily Caller:
The painting, done by David Pulphus, shows the unrest in Ferguson, Mo. after a police officer shot Michael Brown, reports the Independent Journal Review.
Pulphus depicted the cops as pigs in his artwork. Two of the officers carry guns while protesters march towards them carrying signs that read “history,” “stop killing” and “racism kills.”
Officer Darren Wilson shot Brown after Brown charged him multiple times and tried to reach for his gun Aug. 9, 2014. The slogan “hands up, don’t shoot” pushed the false narrative that Brown had his hands up at the time of the shooting.
