Tenants who on the verge of a nervous breakdown and vomit at the very name of Donald Trump have forced their landlord to remove the Trump name on three buildings. In the long run it could cost them a fortune one way or another. What would happen if you removed the name Rolex off your watch or Rolls Royce off your car. Would people be as suitably impressed with your watch and car? Trump is a premiere name in hotels and other building projects. He’s known for well planned out apartments and luxurious surroundings.
They have just lowered the value of the buildings considerably, but that may not be the worst of it. Trashing Trump now is the trendy thing to do but what happens when Trump turns the economy around and puts millions back to work? The innate value of the Trump name could skyrocket. The landlords could not put the name back up without negotiating a very hefty fee with Ivanka, Eric and Junior. That is if they are even willing to negotiate.
Donald Trump’s name is being stripped off three luxury apartment buildings after hundreds of tenants signed a petition saying they were embarrassed to live in a place associated with the Republican president-elect.
In all, about 600 residents of the three rental towers in Trump Place signed the online petition, which began circulating weeks ago after the public release of a decade-old recording of Trump boasting about groping women and kissing them without their consent.
The hilarious thing is that Bill Clinton raping a woman didn’t phase these same people in the least. He sexually assaulted women at will and he increased in popularity.
Trump, asked whether his comments on the campaign trail had hurt his brand, said in an interview on Sunday, “Who cares?”
“This is big-league stuff,” he said on CBS’s “60 Minutes.” “I don’t care about hotel occupancy. It’s peanuts compared to what we’re doing. Health care, making people better.”
