Little Girls to Reopen Lemonade Stand After Police Shut It Down
Two Texas girls attempting to raise money for a Father’s Day gift were told by police they had to shut down their lemonade stand because it’s illegal to sell lemonade without a permit.
Andria and Zoey Green, aged 7 and 8, had been trying to raise $105 to take their dad to Splash Kingdom.
The little girls, along their their mother, Sandi, joined Clayton Morris on “Fox and Friends Weekend” and explained that they had been seeing lemonade stands in their town for years and had no clue they needed a permit and health inspection.
“We still don’t have a permit. Our city officials were not mean. They did not roll on us and terrorize my children. They were very nice. They were just delivering a message,” Sandi said. “I don’t think the chief even knew the extent of the rules and the laws to get the permits.”
They revealed that they will be reopening the lemonade stand, getting around the law by giving away the lemonade for free and accepting donations.
Even better? Splash Kingdom has given them free passes, so they can celebrate Father’s Day at the water park!
