Scott Pribble, police spokesman for the university’s Boulder campus, told reporters that authorities were notified shortly after 9 a.m. of a confrontation involving a man with a large knife near the school’s football stadium. “There was some kind of an altercation in the parking lot” before the suspect went inside an athletic department building, Pribble said.
The shooting took place inside the Champions Center, a building adjacent to the football stadium that houses athletic department offices and training facilities. The university’s nationally ranked football team was practicing on a nearby field when the shooting occurred.
A source close to the investigation told revealed that the suspect was a white male in his early 20s who appeared to be a “religious zealot of some kind” and who had been overheard talking about “looking for sinners.” He has been tentatively ID’d as a recently discharged U.S. Marine, the source said. Further information will be disclosed as the investigation moves forward. This description might be accurate, but we all know how information is suppressed based on agenda now-a-days, and false information distributed, meaning a right wing zealot with a machete!
