Police are looking for a suspect in the shooting of four people, two of whom has died. Police believe Eulalio Tordil shot his estranged wife yesterday, killing her. Police also believe he is the shooter behind the Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda, Maryland shooting that saw 3 people shot, one fatally, one in critical condition and one with non life threatening injuries.
Police say an altercation between two men escalated and one of the men pulled a gun and shot the other one. He also shot two good Samaritans who tried to help the first victim. The shooter is still at large. The two shooting scenes are just eight miles apart and Tordil allegedly threatened to commit suicide by a cop.
The Prince George’s County Police said Tordil, a Federal Protective Service employee, followed his estranged wife, Gladys Tordil, to the high school Thursday afternoon when she went to pick up her children. Police say Tordil fatally shot his estranged wife and shot and injured a good Samaritan who came to her aid.
On Tordil’s wanted poster from Thursday, authorities noted, “The suspect has made threats to commit suicide by cop.”
Montgomery County police said today they have a person of interest in the mall shooting and added that no one is in danger at the mall.\
