Derrick Deadman made comments Monday that drugs were the reason why he entered a home with an axe and gun and killed 5 people. It had nothing to do with the fact his estranged girlfriend and child were living there. The possibility of them not being with him, might not have been domestic abuse, but thats for the prosecutors to decide. He was led to jail in shackles by law enforcement officers. He expressed regret for the deaths and professed love for the estranged girlfriend whose relatives and friends were slain.I’m sure this got him in good with the girlfriend.
An Alabama sheriff says the suspect in the slaughter of five adults was armed with an ax as he attacked them in their sleep, using the weapon to strike one of his first victims in a reclining chair and then moving through the house to assault the others.Mobile County Sheriff Sam Cochran says Derrick Dearman overpowered the victims in the ax attacks, and then used guns from inside the house to shoot them.Court records state that an ax and gun were used to kill each victim in Saturday’s rampage in the south Alabama town of Citronelle.Dearman, of Leakesville, Mississippi, is charged with six counts of capital murder and two counts of kidnapping.
How is it that people that commit crimes always come to their senses after they are captured, or for that matter have a come to Jesus moment? It seems to never fail. I hope he finds peace with his maker for I am sure the death penalty awaits. And I might add in not to lengthy a time. I tend to think the leniency of our judicial system has a lot to do with crimes being committed. Without the fear of death crimes will continue to escalate, and our prisons(like hotels now) are crammed with people that should have been long gone. What do you think?
