An 18 year old Michigan woman was working on lifting weights and she pulled the barbell up to her chest with no problem, but when she tried to clean and jerk it over her head, she could not hold it and it fell directly on her neck.
But when she attempts her full ‘clean and jerk,’ the process by which a lifter switches gears to lift the barbell over the head and stand up straight, she drops the barbell on her neck.
She takes a tumble and does a full somersault to the left of the camera.
But she miraculously gets up and exclaims ‘Oh my God.’
She is working out to 2016 Swedish electronica song ‘The Ocean’.
The track appears to jump a bit so it is difficult to tell how long she was on the ground for, but as the song only lasts three minutes one might assume she took a short while to recuperate.
Perhaps her recovery is indicative of her Twitter: ‘A moment of pain is worth a lifetime of glory.’
