Mom Blasts Drama Teacher Over Outrageous Homework Assignment

In the course of reporting on totally inappropriate homework and lesson plans I have become outraged but this homework assignment takes it to a whole new level and has one mother hitting the roof which has led to the teacher’s suspension.  You are not going to believe this.  Now, remember, this is a drama teacher.

The teacher passed out worksheets to his students that gives step by step instructions on how to manufacture and shoot up crystal meth.  Here’s where the drama comes into play.  The teacher  instructed the students to “act scared” when making the drug, and to “act happy” when injecting it.

A drama teacher at Erin Mills Middle School in Mississauga, Ontario, is under fire for his “unique” homework assignment.

Originally the project involved making an original skit about an old TV show using emotions. When the group’s idea fell through, it’s said the teacher suggested a crystal meth skit instead.

This came as a shock to Delight Greenidge, who was confused when her thirteen-year-old son came home from school and asked how to make a tourniquet for an assignment.

“I popped a blood vessel,” she said. “I was in a state of shock … I’m thinking this cannot be real.”

According to Greenidge’s son, the unnamed grade eighth teacher printed out the instructions as part of an acting assignment, and instructed the students to “act scared” when making the drug, and to “act happy” when injecting it.

The double-sided printout had instructions on where to source materials to make the drug including a list of ingredients, as well as how to inject it.
