Ernstlatta LaFrance’s daughter got into a fight in school and decided she would take matters into her own hands and she showed up in the parking lot of Miami Carol City Senior High School after school. She located her daughter’s rival’s sister and began punching her and pulling her hair and even stole her cell phone. LaFrance was accompanied by her daughter and her partner Erlisa Evans. She drove away with the rival’s phone.
The victim then showed up at LaFrance’s house to retrieve her phone. LaFrance came out and attacked the victim’s car with an ax and broke one of her fingers. Evans then came out and fired a gun three times into the air.
Police told the paper that LaFrance then posted a video of the fight on Facebook “and warned those messing with her daughter to beware,” according to an officer’s account. LaFrance “bragged on Facebook telling the victim that suffering two black eyes was not the end and she would use a gun,” the officer said.
LaFrance was arrested Tuesday, WPLG said. She also admitted to getting in a fight with the teen victim and that her girlfriend fired the shots, the Herald said, citing the police report. LaFrance faces numerous charges, including strong-armed robbery, child abuse and aggravated battery, the paper said. She was also being held Wednesday in jail on a $38,000 bond, the paper reported.
Evans, 28, was arrested and faces charges, including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and firing a gun in public, the Herald reported.
