From the moment London’s first Muslim mayor, Sadiq Khan, was elected, there has been many who warned his policies would welcome fundamentalist Islamists to the city with open arms and transform it from the once peaceful city into a radical Islamicized “Londonistan.”
Fast forward 4 months and things have not gotten any better as Khan has now appointed a man named Matthew Ryder as his deputy integration mayor. Matthew has worked with a Muslim extremist advocacy group founded in 2003 to work on behalf of prisoners at the American military base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Originally called CagePrisoners, it is now known simply as CAGE.
Ryder’s previous career in law saw him frequently challenging the British police and security services over their tactics and policies, particularly regarding interactions with Muslims accused of being linked to terrorism.
Though Ryder’s CAGE group attempts to portray itself as a moderate force standing up on behalf of Muslims falsely accused of having ties to radical Islamic terrorism, the group has nevertheless been widely condemned for its own ties to jihadism, and was even described by some leftists as being little more than “a shady Salafi PR outfit” and an “advocacy group for Islamic fundamentalism in British society.”
The group has defended many Muslims convicted or accused of terrorism, including Mohammed Emwazi, better known as “Jihadi John” of the Islamic State group, and has told Muslims in the U.K. to “support the jihad” in Iraq and Syria while simultaneously reassuring the British government that it shouldn’t fear British Muslims traveling to terrorist hotbeds like Syria to join the jihadist fight.
His career as a barrister has focused on taking on the British police and security services, attacking them for issues ranging from undercover surveillance and allegedly unlawful detention.
During his election campaign, the Labour Mayor was accused of sympathising with Islamic extremist after it emerged he shared a platform with numerous anti-Semites, defended 9/11 terrorists as a barrister and had a brother-in-law who was a member of banned jihadi group Al-Muhajiroun.
Such concerns are unlikely to be dispelled, as the controversial Mayor’s new deputy,Breitbart can reveal, spoke at a CAGE event called “Travelling While Muslim” in 2013.
CAGE claims to stand up for Muslims who are persecuted by anti-terror laws. However, they were condemned by the previous Prime Minister and have been described by left-wingers as “a shady Salafi PR outfit” and an “advocacy group for Islamic fundamentalism in British society”.
Unfortunately, this is just the latest example of how Western Civilization is being slowly eroded away in an effort to appease Muslims and leftists everywhere and it is absolutely destroying any semblance of what we were.
