Just when you think that John McCain could not get any worse he just proves to everyone that he can. Now, if you remember a few years back when the IRS scandal broke that rocked the country showing how the IRS targeted conservative groups. Of course, everyone naturally thought that it was only liberals to blame but now new documents show that McCain was involved too. In a recently released report by Judicial Watch shows that John McCain urged the IRS to engage in “financially ruinous” attacks against certain exempt organizations, working with Democrats to abuse the organization’s authority and power.

This exchange was recorded in notes taken by employees at the IRS during a meeting between Henry Kerner, who is John McCain’s former staff director, and the infamous director Lerner. She was the former director of the tax service’s Exempt Organization Unit, whose tenure at the organization was extremely questionable.
Lerner and other IRS officials met with a number of staffers from the Senate Governmental Affairs Committee to discuss concerns raised by both Senator John McCain and Senator Carl Levin, a Democrat from Michigan, about political advocacy groups.
Namely, they were concerned that the IRS was not doing enough to reign in PACs after the United States Supreme Court issued their Citizens United decision.
McCain had been the major sponsor of the McCain-Feingold Act, and was still angry that the Supreme Court had dared to overturn large portions of the law in the name of free speech.
