Citizens in New Jersey must have the deepest pockets in the country, taxed to the maximum, it’s a wonder how they can find room for another. But fear not there is always someone, and we have found 2 legislators (democrats of course), who are about to commit political suicide by telling millions of people in New Jersey they cannot drive to work with a cup of coffee in their car.
The bill is sponsored by Assemblyman John Wisniewski, a Democrat in Middlesex, and Nicholas Chiaravalloti, a Democrat in Hudson. At the end of the day, this legislation is about one thing: safety,” Wisniewski said in a news release.Violators would face fines from $200 to $400 for the first offense, $400 to $600 for a second offense and $600 to $800 for a third or subsequent offense. A third violation may also result in a driver’s license suspension of up to 90 days and a motor vehicle points penalty at the court’s discretion.
What are the chances that this bill passes? You can say the democrats will rally and pass this bill with no fear of the consequences at the polls, but really, a cup of coffee in a car? With all the problems we as a nation deal with on a daily basis, this is what is to be debated? Seems to me to just be another money grab by government. This just might be the spark that ignites civil unrest in the state; I’m stuttering at the thought. Do you think I’m off base?
