If I wasn’t done with the NFL last week, I am this week. The NFL doesn’t have a problem with players who disrespect our country, but God help the player who loves the country and want to honor the nearly 3,000 people killed on 9/11. Countless number of NFL players dishonored the servicemen and women past, present and future and that didn’t deserve as much as a nod of the head, but three lone players in the NFL decided to wear shoes that honored those who passed away on 9/11/2001 but also the first responders, many of whom died when the buildings collapsed.
Tennessee Titans linebacker Avery Williamson and New York Giants receivers Odell Beckham Jr. and Victor Cruz are the three offending players. They should be assessed fines of $6,000, the normal fine fore this offense but since it’s The People’s Banana Republic of the National Football League, it could be much higher to cool down patriotic fever in the future. I think it’s important to note the ratings for NFL games during the first week are way off.
From The Daily Caller:
Trace Gallagher: After wearing patriotic cleats “all three expect to be fined about $6K [by NFL] for the gesture.” pic.twitter.com/q0UuvLJdUo

It appeared initially that the NFL might turn a blind eye to these players for violating the league’s uniform code, but it looks like all three will take a hit to their wallets.
At the same time these three patriotic Americans are being fined the NFL has not done anything to stop players disrespecting the America during the national anthem. Not a great look for NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.
