In Chesnee, South Carolina, a senior at Chesnee High School wore this shirt to school last week:
Even though Briana Popour – who is openly gay – says she’d worn the shirt previously to school without any issue, a school administrator called her to the front office. Popour tells WSPA-TV that she was given a choice:
“You need to change your shirt or go home.”
The administrator and school district declined to comment on Popour’s situation, but instead provided links to the district’s dress code policy, which reads in par:
