It seems 38-year-old Thomas Edwin Deaton may have not made the best of decisions when he decided to stuff a 6-foot Marijuana plant in his car and proceed to drive around town. Two Atlanta police officers followed their nose to make an arrest earlier this week when they were driving next to him and a strong odor.
The officers were patrolling through Sidney Marcus Boulevard on Oct. 19 when they “smelled a strong odor of raw marijuana coming from a vehicle traveling next to them,” according to a City of Atlanta Police Department Facebook post.
Authorities tried to make a traffic stop, but the driver took off. The driver, later identified as 38-year-old Thomas Edwin Deaton, eventually pulled over.
Inside the vehicle, officers found three marijuana plants. The plants weight about 3 pounds and one of them was 6 feet tall, My Fox 8 reported.
