[PICS] Female Rugby Team Bares All Off To Raise Money For Breast Cancer Charity

It is the third year running they have braved the chilly air of Merseyside, with money raised this year going to Coppafeel, a charity established to educate and promote how to check breasts regularly for the early signs of cancer.

Last year the calendar raised over £2,000 to support Joining Jack, a charity started in Wigan and renowned in the world of rugby league for fighting Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, and aid the running of the club.

Captain of the side, and second year English and Spanish student, Eve Watton, said:

The calendar really helped the team last year with away matches and equipment as women’s rugby league is really under funded. We couldn’t survive without it.

We chose Coppafeel because we wanted to help young women stay healthy. Every girl identifies with the charity.

Watton, 19, added:

It teaches women to take their health into their own hands.

I was terrified about doing the calendar, but it became easier because we were so comfortable around each other.

We picked the docks because we are so proud to be in Liverpool and wanted to show the city we love.
