Police Are Shocked At What They Find In Engine Of Truck After Traffic Stop!

KOKH- Over 3 million dollars’ worth of heroin has now been taken off the streets for good after a traffic stop on Sunday night. It happened in western Canadian County, close to the Cherokee Truck stop along I-40. Deputies say it was where the drugs were found that has them shocked. Over 17 pounds of pure heroin was found inside the truck engine.

“They pulled this intake manifold out of the vehicle and sure enough inside of it was 7 packages of high-grade heroin,” says Canadian County Undersheriff Chris West.

Deputies say they pulled over the truck, because they saw it swerving in and out of lanes. The driver, 25-year-old Jorge Vasconcelos, claimed he was tired from driving, saying he was headed from Arizona to Georgia. He then told deputies he was not a criminal and they could search his truck. When they did search his truck they spotted a pistol in the front seat, and pure heroin inside the engine.

“For them to be able to make this hidden compartment inside the engine put the drugs in it and drive the vehicle across country that’s some pretty sophisticated stuff,” says West.

The operation was so sophisticated, the sheriff’s office believes it is part of something bigger, possibly out of Mexico. Now Vasconcelos is facing a slew of charges, including aggravated Trafficking of Heroin and Possession of a firearm.
