Raritan Pharmaceuticals recalled its CVS Homeopathic Infants’ Teething tablets, Kids Relief Homeopathic Ear Relief Oral Liquid, and CVS Homeopathic Kids’ Ear Relief Liquid. Each item was found to have some traces of belladonna, a poison. The recall is being deemed precautionary, a representative said.
Many people have said they have used products containing Belladonna on their children, but the FDA has been warning against its use since October. 10 deaths and 400 negative reactions have been attributed to the use of such products.

A popular baby product was recalled due to one ingredient being extremely dangerous and potentially fatal.
According to CNN, Raritan Pharmaceuticals recalled its CVS Homeopathic Infants’ Teething tablets, Kids Relief Homeopathic Ear Relief Oral Liquid, and CVS Homeopathic Kids’ Ear Relief Liquid, all of which were determined to include small amounts of belladonna.
“The recall is a precautionary action,” a representative for the company told CNN.

Despite some readers saying they’ve given belladonna to their children, the FDA has been warning against using teething tablets and other products containing belladonna since October, when it announced that 10 deaths and over 400 adverse reactions had been attributed to such products.
“Belladonna can be toxic in high doses,” a Raritan spokesman said. “But there are very trace amounts of (belladonna) in these products.”
