On Monday, President Trump signed a new Executive Order that has the public unions and liberals seeing red. This is why we needed a businessman in the oval office. In the new EO, President Trump is ordering all cabinet members to evaluate their departments and to cut all the waste from them which will mean tons of layoffs or merely not hiring a new employee when one quits. They will also look at programs that don’t work for elimination.
This is what the president said about his new EO:
“We have assembled one of the greatest Cabinets in history and I believe that so strongly. And we want to empower them to make their agencies as lean and effective as possible and they know how to do it. Today there is duplication and redundancy everywhere. Billions and billions of dollars are being wasted.”
“This order requires a thorough examination of every executive department and agency to see where money is being wasted, how services can be improved and whether programs are truly serving American citizens.”
“Based on this input, we will develop a detailed plan to make the federal government work better, reorganizing, consolidating and eliminating where necessary. In other words, making the federal government more efficient and very, very cost productive. So we’re going to do something, I think, very, very special.”
In 2014 there were 2,726,000 federal employees. We could see cuts up to 20%. That would be about 545,000 laid off government employees. That would be a huge blow to unions that would see a steep drop in dues and liberals who try to spend as much taxpayer money as they can. No business in America could survive operating the way the federal government does. Time to cut the fat.
