The 9th Circuit Court’s February 3 stay of President Donald Trump’s temporary travel ban affecting seven nations may already be putting the country in danger. According to data obtained from the government by CNS News, 60% of the refugees coming into the United States from abroad are coming from five of those seven countries. From Breitbart:
After a federal district judge issued an unusual, nationwide, emergency order halting President Donald Trump’s refugee resettlement freeze on Feb. 3, 2,576 refugees arrived. Of those, 1,549—or 60.1 percent—are from Iran, Iraq, Somalia, Syria, and Sudan, according to CNS News. Trump’s order banned all refugee resettlement from Syria, froze all refugee resettlement for 120 days, and restricted all migrant travel from seven countries for 90 days. Over half, or 55 percent, of the 2,576 refugee arrivals are Muslim, including 99.6 percent of Syrian refugees.
Well, isn’t that special. The very countries that had free travel restricted due to those nations being hotbeds of terrorism and terrorism training with little or no organized governmental vetting on their end are the ones sending refugees our way. (That was why travel was restricted from those locales to begin with…under the Obama Administration.) Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad, believable or not, assures the people of the west that terrorists are hiding among the refugees, as if that wasn’t the logical conclusion of such a free and open system.
That should be a no-brainer, but so many don’t want to see that criminals have no problem breaking the law.
And yet, the worst fears of that specific executive order have come to pass. Refugee resettlement from five of the seven terrorism hotspots without meaningful vetting into the USA has increased to the point that it accounts for half of the people coming here in this manner…which is exactly what Trump was trying to avoid in the first place.
