Thank God for this quick thinking woman! Her actions saved a life, and possibly many others as well. She is a Hero in my book.
A teacher’s aide in California foiled an attempted kidnapping as she drove to school.
Sandra Ferguson was on her way to work at Sutter Elementary School in Antioch Friday morning when she noticed an 11-year-old girl sitting in a strange man’s car.
Sensing something wasn’t right, Ferguson went over to the car and asked the girl, a former student, if the man was her father.
She replied that he was a “friend.” Ferguson decided not to take any chances.
“I put my car in front of his car – I blocked him, and I told her, ‘You get out of the car right now,’” she said.
The girl was not hurt and the suspect, 51-year-old Santiago Salazar, was arrested and charged with kidnapping.
Police said the girl did know Salazar and that he had pulled her into his vehicle.
