Seattle Seahawks Players Are The Real Cowards To Wait On Public Opinion

9/11 is upon us this Coming this Sunday, the 15th Anniversary of the attack on the World Trade Center. At that time it galvanized a nation to resemble the attack on Pearl Harbor. Fast forward to today, 9/11 opening day of professional football, the American game. The national anthem is played and the players sit down in a show of complete disrespect. Concerns over treatment of minorities is the battle cry. Never mind 2 out of every 3 players is black and being paid handsomely by their said teams. Instead of standing for the flag and trying to unite, they have given inclination that they will sit. How shameful an act, but I am sure by letting this out now, they are listening to the court of public opinion before making decision. Tell me then who is the real coward? How the teams and management react is the question.

According to Americanfreedomfighters:

Bob Condotta at The Seattle Times reports that Seattle receiver Doug Baldwin said Wednesday he is also considering sitting during the anthem before Sunday’s 1:05 p.m. kickoff at CenturyLink Field while linebacker Bobby Wagner said the team has been talking about a group action.“I have (considered it),” Baldwin said before Seattle’s practice Wednesday afternoon. “I want to make sure I get all of my ducks in a row before I do so.’’While Wagner said he didn’t know if he would sit down during the anthem he said “anything we want to do, it’s not going to be individual. It’s going to be a team thing. That’s what the world needs to see.

But the question is, what will the fans do? This is their game, they come to enjoy themselves for a day after working all week. They want to grill, have a few beers, tell jokes, wave their flags and root for their team. What will they do when singing the anthem and the players who the fans help pay disrespect their own country? I can only wonder. But I will say just the thought of it has me thinking not to watch pro football at all. What do you think?
