There is nothing quite like the ringing in the new year and looking forward to the endless possibilities of the future. We always expect the new year to be better than the last year and are giddy with anticipation.

“I can feel it, man! [Insert year] is our year!” It’s baseless and overconfident but darn if it isn’t fun to say. The crazy thing, though, is there’s no accountability. No one checks in at the end of the year to see if they were right.
