A terrible weekend for Disney might be a precursor to worse things to come.
According to Deadline, attorneys for Disney employees who are suing the business for allegedly underpaying its female employees tried to turn the case into a class-action lawsuit encompassing both current and past workers in a court filing on Friday.
A lawyer for the two plaintiffs in the lawsuit, who claim that Disney treats its female employees like “cheap labor,” told Deadline that the company is accused of doing this.
The two ladies listed as plaintiffs in the lawsuit are asking for compensation for allegedly stealing back earnings from people the corporation discriminated against.
Asserting that the lawsuit is “meritless,” Disney promises to mount a resolute defense against the allegations that it discriminates against its female employees.
Only the most recent of Disney’s problems is the lawsuit.
The latest Indiana Jones movie from the giant is underwhelming, to the point where box office projections are calling it a flop.
Breitbart reports that “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” is expected to make less money than the franchise’s first film, which came out in 2008.
The picture, which had a massive $300 million production budget, performed worse at the box office than “The Flash,” which was the second biggest summer disaster. If audiences’ interests aren’t peaked, the movie may go bankrupt.

One of Disney’s liberal media units is already paying a price for the company’s financial troubles.
Over the weekend, ESPN let go of approximately 20 of its on-air personalities, with longstanding staffers receiving the ignominious sack from the network, according to Sports Illustrated.
Suzy Kolber, a longtime employee, tweeted to confirm her termination.
Today I join the many hard-working colleagues who have been laid off.
Heartbreaking-but 27 years at ESPN was a good run.

As per Sports Pro Media, ESPN has continually lost customers in 2023.
According to Fox Business, one financial analysis firm lowered Disney’s shares last week.
Due to the company’s resistance to Governor Ron DeSantis’ educational agenda, its legal privileges in Florida have also been questioned.
