Christine Michael, a running back for the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys, was pulled over by a Texas state trooper in Dallas who believed Michael’s vehicle had an illegal window tint.
The trooper, identified as Stephen Lister, let Michael go without a citation, but not before snagging a photo with the NFL star, apparently violating protocol in the process, ESPN reported.
On Oct. 11, Michael posted a photo with Lister on Instagram along with the caption, “Got stopped just to take a picture.”
“The trooper’s actions have been reviewed by DPS and are not consistent with department procedure,” Sgt. Lonny Haschel said in a statement obtained by the Houston Chronicle. “Corrective action, in the form of a procedural review, will be taken. In conversations with his chain of command, the trooper realized his error in judgment and was apologetic for the incident.”
