The Oscars award show hasn’t even started yet, and they’re already pushing their political agenda down our throats. This event is shaping up to be yet another Trump bashing, Republican hating event. It’s sad that this has become normal as of late. Celebrities LOVE to overestimate their self importance to society and constantly overstep in their opinions on issues they clearly don’t understand.
Buckle Up! Oscars Haven’t Even Officially Begun, but They Just Got Political In a BIG Way…
It’s Oscar weekend again.
That means it’s time to be preached to by pampered people in entertainment telling us how wrong we are about everything in life.
Here’s the start.
From USA Today:
Directors of the five foreign-language film nominees Friday issued an unprecedented advance statement condemning “the climate of fanaticism and nationalism” in the U.S. and other countries.
They dedicated the Oscar, no matter which film wins, to those working toward unity.
They directors symbolically rejected the borders that define their category’s nominees, saying, “We believe there is no best country, best gender, best religion or best color. We want this award to stand as a symbol of the unity between nations and the freedom of the arts.”
So can we presume if you win, you will be turning the Oscar back in?
After all, there is no ‘best’ film. So give it back.
The directors then spoke against division by gender, race, religion and other categories.
“The fear generated by dividing us into genders, colors, religions and sexualities as a means to justify violence destroys the things that we depend on — not only as artists but as humans: the diversity of cultures, the chance to be enriched by something seemingly ‘foreign’ and the belief that human encounters can change us for the better. These divisive walls prevent people from experiencing something simple but fundamental: from discovering that we are all not so different,” they write.
But it’s the left, those with whom you directors work and play, who push the identity politics of everything divided by race and 31 genders.
It is the left that has built divisions for years based on all those categories.
But allow me to suggest that “we are not all so different” to object to vetting for security is nonsense.
Yes, we are different from terrorists. Yes, we are different from people who would subjugate women as a societal norm. Yes, we are different from societies who believe that it’s cool to throw gay people off buildings.
The directors said, “Human rights are not something you have to apply for. They simply exist — for everybody.”
That is most certainly true, which is why the fanatical United States so values the concept of individual rights and why our Constitution isn’t based on identity groups.
It’s why you foreign directors feel free to call us fanatical without concern of consequences which you might have in other countries including some of your own.
It is why this country is the most exceptional in the world.
