Disney has been one of those companies that have continually found itself waist-deep in controversy.
Over the years, there have been numerous allegations of sexual subliminal messaging in children in their movies.
You do remember the ‘The Little Mermaid’ and ‘Lion King’ photos that showed sexual imagery?
If not, be sure to do a quick YouTube search or image search on Google if they have not completely scrubbed them all from the internet.
There was NO reason that children should be bombarded with this sort of messaging at a young age and let alone from a company that says it is for little ones.
Regardless, of whether it is heterosexual or homosexual, children’s innocence needs to be protected.
There is plenty of time in the future for them to worry about all their sexual proclivities.
However, Disney has continued to push the envelope and over the past week, they pushed their WOKE agenda one too far by announcing that they want 50% of their characters to be LGBT+++.
They also want to showcase same-sex kissing on the screen to the youth, and we are all pretty sure that is not all of it.
Many have wondered, how in the world can Disney get away with this sort of sexual imagery?
Well, maybe it has to do with the Reedy Creek Improvement Act passed back in 1967.
If you were not aware, Walt Disney World is subject to its own governance, it has its own police force, EMS, and building codes not subject to the surrounding county’s laws.
Disney World is in effect its own country with special privileges, and such power seems to have gone to the heads of those controlling a company that has become almost as powerful and pervasive as the military-industrial complex.
Of course, no one is suggesting that the Reedy Creek Act is the reason that Disney feels that they can get away with subliminal sexual messaging, but it could make them feel invincible.
After years of being able to govern themselves and not be subject to the county laws surrounding them, you can be sure they feel entitled to do as they want.
Due to growing concerns of parents over the implicit, and sometimes overt messaging in these films, the Florida GOP is firing back by considering a repeal of the Reedy Creek Improvement Act—therefore taking away Disney World’s autonomy.
A repeal of the act could spell disaster for Walt Disney World, which would come under the jurisdiction, regulation, and taxation of the surrounding municipality of Orange County Florida.

Florida legislators have floated the idea of repealing the 1967 Reedy Creek Improvement Act, which gives Disney the autonomy to effectively run its own government in the area around Disney World, in response to the company’s recent advocacy against the parental rights law H.B. 1557, which critics have branded the “Don’t Say Gay” law. Repealing the law would subject Disney World to the government of Orange County.

Daily Mail quotes Governor DeSantis:
‘You’ve got to wonder why is the hill to die on to have transgenderism injected into kindergarten classrooms, or woke gender ideology injected into second grade classrooms. Why is that the hill to die on?’ he asked in a Tuesday night interview with Fox News’ Tucker Carlson.
‘Meanwhile, if we’ve done a bill that prohibited talking about the abuse of Uyghurs in China, Disney would’ve supported that legislation. They won’t say a word about that,’ the Republican governor continued.
In my honest opinion, it seems to me that this should have occurred long ago.
Children need to be protected and if this company claims to be all for children and the magic of childhood is not holding up their end, then they need to be punished.
