This Father Learned The HARD Way What A Toddler Can Do In 7 Minutes Unattended
Just in case you were contemplating procreation, here’s something that will make you go out and buy contraception in bulk. Now, we don’t mean to discredit the wonderful experience of raising babies. Children have incredible optimism and energy, and we have no doubt that they bring immeasurable joy to their parents’ lives. However, when left to their own devices, children can be destructive demons. And no one knows this better than Paul Schettini, who made the mistake of toddlers unsupervised for mere minutes.
Schettini posted this video of his daughter’s room after she and a friend had been playing unsupervised for only seven minutes.
Yes, that is green and red paint covering the entire room. Handprints on the walls. Toys strewn across the floor as if a massive hurricane hit. Not to self: never leave paint within a toddler’s reach. Those kiddos work efficiently.

We hate to reinforce stereotypes here, but obviously this happened when Mom was out of town.
According to Schettini, his wife was traveling for a teacher’s conference and would be returning the next day.
And the solo parenting experience started out pretty well.
“Everything had been going well. The kids were watching a movie and playing while I was in the kitchen,” he said. “My daughter asked if they could go play in her room.
But then, the children were given a tiny ounce of freedom.
When he came in to check on the kids, Schettini returned to a disaster zone. All that red paint honestly makes it look like something out of a horror movie. “So this is what happens when you leave two toddlers alone in their own room for seven minutes,” he said woefully on camera.
Luckily, he managed to get some help cleaning up (somehow).
With the help of sympathetic neighbors, Schettini managed to clean up the mess before his wife’s returns. We’re honestly impressed that anyone could undo that damage… The paint covered the floor, furniture, and even the Elsa rug.
Schettini learned an important lesson from this experience.
“This is a warning for all new parents,” he said. “Have kids they say, it’ll be fun they say.”
