Donald Trump has had enough of President Obama’s America-blaming ways, especially in his speech following the Orlando terror attack.
In a statement to Associated Press, Trump commented on the president’s statement regarding the terrorist, in which he spent almost as much time attacking the presumptive Republican nominee as he did Islamist terrorism.
In an email, Trump stated that Obama “claims to know our enemy, and yet he continues to prioritize our enemy over our allies, and for that matter, the American people.”
“(W)hen I am president, it will always be America first,” Trump added.
The Republican Party issued a tamer statement on Obama’s remarks.
“Nothing President Obama and Hillary Clinton are proposing in response to the Orlando terror attack would have prevented it, but they would infringe on Americans’ constitutional rights to due process and to own a gun,” the statement read.
“We should not make it harder for law-abiding Americans to defend themselves when radical Islamic terrorists are successfully launching attacks on U.S. soil. The terrorists win when they convince politicians they should take away our rights, and that is exactly what President Obama and Hillary Clinton are proposing.”
Trump’s statement drew a lot of attention on social media, especially from the left. MSNBC hipster Chris Hayes even pointed out something that he thought scored him a point, but actually revealed something he probably didn’t plan on letting the world in on.
" prioritize our enemy over our allies…" seems prrrettttty close to calling the sitting President treasonous. https://t.co/qF21MZ1x4R
